CBD for Fitness: Personal Trainer Emma-Louise

Here at HempWell we love to shout about our incredible products, but we also know that you may want to hear from customers about real-life results. That’s why we’ve started a new blog series where we interview a customer to hear more about their experiences with CBD for fitness.

We know it can be difficult to know what to expect when trying CBD for fitness(and of course everyone is different so we cannot guarantee results!) but we wanted to talk to some of our real customers to learn a bit more about real-life everyday experiences of using HempWell CBD.

Today we are talking to Emma-Louise Landrie, a Personal Trainer here in York. Emma-Louise is a busy woman who not only runs her own business but is also in training for a gruelling Iron Man challenge. Emma-Louise started taking HempWell CBD after an injury, and has become a regular customer ever since!

Hi Emma-Louise! To start with, can you please tell us a little bit about what you do?

I run my own business as a Personal Trainer out of Roku Health Club, Clifton Moor. My clients are mostly women ranging from 34 – 85 years old. My mission is not about weight loss or looking a certain way, a lot of my personal training is more mental than physical and I put real emphasis on helping people with their mental health. I want women to feel stronger, more confident, and powerful. Those are the words I would use to describe what I do.

What CBD do you take for fitness?

I started by buying a CBD cream when I got an injury. During training for the Iron Man I injured my leg, it was so painful I couldn’t walk well at all for two months. I went into the York HempWell shop and after getting some advice I bought a Max Strength CBD Cream. After 1 week the pain was way less intense! It allowed me to slowly get my training back, I used it before bed combined with an oil to help me be calm and help with sleep.

How is your injury now?

My injury is much better! Now I use the cream after an intense bike ride to avoid soreness the next day. I would recommend using the cream along with a combination of stretching and massage to be able to keep training without soreness.

Do you recommend HempWell CBD to your personal training clients?

Yes! Many of my clients have stressful jobs and for them I recommend an oil to help them with their stress and their sleep. A lot of people don’t realise that sleep is really important for people who want to improve their fitness, so I recommend CBD oil to help with that. I gave some CBD oil to my mum and it really helped her with her sleep problems so I have confidence in recommending it. I also recommend the cream, especially to my older clients that have issues with sore joints – I have one lady who is 85 and is currently in the best shape of her life!
